Our baby alpacas amongst the autumn leaves
SHOP
The ultimate goal of our alpaca adventure is to be able to harvest our animals' fibre every year at shearing time. Alpacas produce an exquisite natural fibre, lightweight, durable and warm, yet incredibly silky and soft to the touch.
There are 22 natural colours of fibre, ranging from white, through creams, beiges and browns to grey and black. Most people can comfortably wear alpaca clothing next to the skin - the fibre, unlike sheeps wool, contains no lanolin, and is basically non-allergenic.
At this time, we are able to offer you both knitting wool, and rovings for hand spinners. Our raw fibre has been processed for us into both sportweight and laceweight knitting yarns, as well as the rovings. We have colours ranging through white, light and dark beige, to black in both yarns and rovings.
